Powerboat Blast
This is one of the most exciting watersports in the
world. Hold on tight as you plane across the water in
this intense and thrilling experience. On arrival, you
will be taken to your craft, the sleek Sunsekker SuperHawk
34. This safe and powerful craft has everything required
for the best in performance action.
Once on board, the skipper will give a safety briefing,
before the boat slips the berth. The skipper will give
instruction on the controls and manoeuvring the boat.
You can be as relaxed or as active as you like. Sit
back in the comfortable seating area and enjoy the sights
or take the controls and drive the powerboat yourself
(subject to conditions). These boast can reach speeds
of up to 40 knots (depending on sea conditions); so
get ready for a thrilling time.
RIB Powerboating
This is a great opportunity to put a rigid inflatable
boat (RIB) through its paces. With an estimated top
speed of 60 knots, you'll need your waterproofs! After
a safety briefing and introduction, you'll head out
to sea, where you'll experience wave-hopping, fast turns,
emergency stops and rough water. After a short break
ashore in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, you will have
the opportunity to drive the RIB at speed during your
return, under supervision of course.
Sailing on a Luxury Cruising Yacht
Here's your chance to experience the glamour of a stylish
yacht. Take and active part in sailing the yacht as
you cruise the sheltered waters of The Solent - with
time ashore to explore the bustling town of Cowes, on
the Isle of Wight, home of the world famous regatta.
On arrival you will be offered refreshments, given a
short safety briefing by your skipper and shown around
the yacht.
Then, you set off down the picturesque Beaulieu River
to the open sea. YOu will be shown how to wind winches,
handle sails and ropes, steer a course and take an active
part in sailing. Arriving at West Cowes marina on the
Isle of Wight around lunchtime, you will have an hour
or so ashore to explore and enjoy the light lunch provided.
Your yacht will then sail out of Cowes and head back
towards The Solent and the Beaulieu River.
Half-day Luxury Motor Yacht Cruise
Ever dreamed of owning your own motor yacht? We can'tpromise
you that, but you can live like a millionaire and experience
luxury cruising on a fabulous Sealine F33 craft. If
you get the taste for this, you'll havew to hope that
your lottery numbers come up! Your experience will start
with a safety briefing and tour of the boat.
You will then cruise The Solent at speed, wnjoying the
thrill of luxury motor cruising. There will be an opportunity
for you to try your hand at piloting the boat under
supervision (subject to conditions). You will then anchor
for afternoon tea, after which you will return to Ocean
Village.
